Question: How to add ODBC driver to read and write data to access mdb and accdb files?

Please see the image below. Nothing listed for access.

FYI, I will be working using java through this connection if it makes any difference.

I think this is what you need: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13255   It sounds like Microsoft is "de-emphsizing" Access and trying to get people to switch to SQL Server.  You might also check to see if JDBC supports what you want to do.

Hi,

If you are trying to create an ODBC to an MS Access db you should use the User DSN option and you will only get the MS Access option if MS Access is installed on the computer you are working on.
