Go to the computer management Administrative Tool (link in control panel I believe or just search) and then look for the section "Local Users and Group" - you can change the user name there.
If you just want to rename the username(Shows in the welcome screen)
goto Run -> compmgmt.msc -> Enter
-> Local users and Groups
-> Users
-> Right click on the username and click rename.

If you want to rename the profile folder as well(shows in C:\users)
I'll show you how to rename the OldName to NewName
Login with an admin account
-> First goto compmgmt.msc->Local users-> and rename the user (Eg: NewName)
->Goto C:\users and rename the folder OldName to NewName
->Goto Run -> Regedit -> Enter
->Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

there might be several S-1-5 folders click on each and check the value for OldName in ProfileImagePath on right pane.
Change OldName to NewName.

Log off and log on to NewName account.
Hope this helps.
