Can you help with this keyboard problem please"
I have tried sorting this through the control panel and the regionalsettings.
It has noeffect.
The problem is this.
I am running XP.
The quotes (above numeral 2) and the @ (above the subquote) are interchanged. Thus to get the @ sign I have to depress the double quotes key.
Also the pound sterling sign cannot be invoked.
The U.S. number sign comes up.
There is nothing I can do to fix this.
The problem has been addressed by Experts Exchange experts before but no solution that I can find.
Can anyone help please?

Which keyboard is shown as the default in Regional Settings?
Is this a laptop? The zone suggests so. Try disconnecting the USB keyboard, then, and see if the problem persists.
