I need to convert the few lines of code below to VB.NET..
The "Random Access Files" already exist and need to be used by VB6 as well as VB DotNet
This code when Auto-converted to DotNet via VB2008 says "Bad Record Length"
and mentions that 2 bytes need to be reserved.. Other google searches say 4 bytes needs to be reserved??
The VB6 code is..
Dim f9 As String * 100
f9 = SomeDataString
Open PathFileX For Random Shared As #1 Len = 100
Put #1, RecordX, f9
Get #1, RecordX, f9
How would this look in DotNet to be able to read the VB6 style files?
