Nope for non-SBS servers. But may be true for SBS when you transfer FSMO roles and you will install it again. SBS must hold all of 5 FSMO roles<br />

I have two domain controllers. They are connected to each other via a VPN connection.<br />

My master DC has died and I want to transfer the roles across to the secondary domain controller.<br />

Transferring Domain master roles

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server.
