Setting permissions for site on IIS7

Hi Experts,

We are trying to set permissions on an asp.net 4.0 site on IIS7.

We want to prevent our Users group from accessing the site but permit our Administrator group. However as soon as the Users group is removed the Administrators are prevented from accessing the site too. Even if we add Administrators as individuals they cannot access the site unless the Users group has access too.

Where are we going wrong??

Deny rules have higher precedence than allow rules.

Hi ve3ofa,

Thanks for this, I don't have Authorization Rules currently available as an option in my sites. Can you tell me how to access this please?
Many thanks, we needed to add the URL Authorization from Role Services in Server Manager, having done that and given the server a reboot we now see the Authorization Rules and have followed your instructions with great success many thanks that was really helpful.
