Inexpenseive osCommerce / PHP consultancy

I am looking for some inexpensive resource to do the odd PHP type job for me around my osCommerce shopping cart

We had an outside person do some work for us in the past and he did not document his scripts very much, not some of them have stopped working.

I don’t have much PHP experience. Ideally the person would have oscommerce, php, mySql experience.

Just need a few hours here and there on a project bases. I have heard of some online websites where people would quote you per job, don’t know how good they are.

I have a very small business, just two of us, we haven’t sold much online, and my budgets are very small, some I am looking for someone very economical.

Basically we would

1.      provide a summary of what was needed
2.      agree a price beforehand per job
3.      provide account details to our server and oscommerce admin
4.      Test the resulting work
5.      Receive a well-documented scrip

Be aware that if you find someone with a very inexpensive rate, you may end up getting very low quality results. Most people that charge low rates are doing that because they don't have much experience.

I know you want someone economical, but be careful that you don't end up choosing the cheapest person who ends up making a lot of mistakes and puts bad code into your system that creates even more problems.

+1 to what gr8gonzo said. The famous firefighter Red Adair put it this way: If you think hiring a professional is expensive, just wait till you hire an amateur!

There is not particular way on EE to hire an expert.

You will need to review profiles of expert and will need to contact them.

You can contact expert who has enabled "Hire Me" button in their profile.

I do not know how to contact expert who does not have "Hire Me" button in their profile.

Also as far as I know there is no way given here on EE to get list of experts according to your needs.

According to me best way is to describe your work with some detail and technologies can help you to find some one here or you can find some one from sites link odesk.com, elance.com, freelancer.com.

You can talk with a person and finalize only after you think the person will be able to work according to your needs.

I have been browsing around and cannot find a list of everyones profiles. For eample I would like to get a list of PHP experts and look at there profiles.
