lsass.exe - System Error on SBS2003 Server

I have a Dell Poweredge T105 server running sbs 2003 and all of a sudden I get the following message:
LSASS.EXE - System Error, security accounts manager initialization failed because of the following error: Directory Services cannot start. Error status 0xc00002e1.

Please click OK to shutdown this system and reboot into directory services restore mode, check the event log for more detailed information.
It tells me to go to Directory Services Restore Mode by pressing F8 on startup but I do not have that option on this server, all I have is F2 - Setup, F10- Utility Mode, F11 - Boot Menu and F12 - FX Boot

How can I get around this problem on this server..?? and if I do need to get into the directory services restore mode how can i do this on this server..??

many thanks

You will not see the F8 option on the screen, just keep pressing F8 as the server starts up, normally in the little bit of blackness after the server POST and before the windows logo shows up. If you get to the windows boot logo, restart and try again. If unsure just keep pressing f8 every fre seconds from power on, unless a RAID controller or something uses this key press you will end up in the right place..

When you get into directory services restore mode be prepared to do a system state restore from a recent backup http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v1r1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.itsmc.doc_5.3.3%2Fans60000132.htm
PS. On SBS 2003 the DSRM Administrator password will be the same as the administrator password that was given when the server was first installed.

for these guys it really is worse case scenario, no backup and honestly by pressing F8 constantly nothing happens it just trys to boot up to windows without any directory service option..... eeek
It should be just like pressing F8 to get into safe mode on a workstation, then there is a list and along with Safe Mode there is an option "Directory Services Restore Mode"

Is it a USB keyboard? try plugging in a PS2 keyboard.
unfortunately it is a usb keyboard with now ps2 output..... yep pressed F8 constantly without any luck, done it several times now without luck...
