# Icon Set

How to use the Icon set in Conditional formatting( 3 Arrows (colored)?

It will apply cell by cell separtely,is it correct ?

if u know the solution give me the example please.. do the needful

Here i have added one sample file,

Here i want compare the previous year and current year. in the column B (current year) i want show the arrow

mark(increase or decrease or equal).. i tried it,

It will apply cell by cell separtely ,i could't do that entire B column (using applied for) ?

I am not sure if the icon set can be used with your scenario. As what I know, it can be used only to format cells based on their values. Other experts might have solutions to meet on what you need.

If you are using Excel 2010, you may try to use the Sparkline. Here's the link on how to do it.

2) apply formatting

3) the lowest third of the cells get a red arrow pointing downwards

the middle third of the cells get a yellow arrow pointing right

the highest third of the cells get a green arrow pointing upwards

so if you for example format cells with values ranging from 1 up to 9, all values <= 3 give the red arrow and all values >= 6 give a green arrow.
