Windows 7 recognising all USB devices as RAW

Last Modified: 2012-05-12

Whenever I plug a usb device into my laptop running Windows 7 it will only recognise it as a RAW device. In order to use it I have to reformat it on my laptop. However, then when I try to use that USB stick on another computer it won't recognise it. When I reformat it on another computer and try it again in my laptop it will only recognise it as RAW again.

I have tried many different USB sticks, each one is fine on other computers but will only come up as RAW on my laptop. I don't have anything else connected to my laptop when I try a USB stick.
