Google Webmaster states that you should specify whether you want your site to be seen as  www.site.com or site.com.

My home page is site.com/index.htm
and there is a site.com
How do I avoid the spiders as seeing two versions of my site when there is only one?

Should I load an htaccess file@

What is the best thing for me to do please?
