Print Servers on Windows Server 2008 NLB Cluster
I'm running two virtual machines in a VMware environment that are running Windows Server 2008 Standard 32-bit. These servers are in an NLB cluster and I plan on making these into print servers. I'm aware that Microsoft doesn't support print servers on an NLB cluster but I know it works (at least on Server 2003). Anyhow, I can browse to the cluster by it's host name and can see the printers, but when I double click on one to install it I get this message:
"Operation could not be completed. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer lost its connection to the server. For more information, click Help."
If I browse to each of the nodes individually, I can double click on the printers to install them without issue. The problem just occurs with the hostname and/or IP address of the cluster. I downloaded the most current printer driver. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.
