Getting this error on a server running Windows 2003 SP2...Event ID 14 The shadow copies of volume C: were aborted because of an IO failure on volume C:. The server appears to be working fine, but the event concerns me.

Also getting a lot of these....While transmitting or receiving data, the server encountered a network error. Occassional errors are expected, but large amounts of these indicate a possible error in your network configuration.  The error status code is contained within the returned data (formatted as Words) and may point you towards the problem.
For the shadow copy error have you tried running CHKDSK /R on the C drive?

If that fails it might be worth looking for a diagnostic utility for your manufacturers hard drive.
I believe I have. This error has been around for a while. Now this is a DL385 G4 running an array 5.
