shut down mode
Hi Experts,
I have a laptop with Win7 and XP mode.
The XP mode is set to shut down, when closing the xp mode vm.
But when I just start an application inside xp mode and close this again, the xp mode vm is still running in the back.
When I want to shutdown my laptop, always the message comes up, still an application is running but I want to get rid of it.
How to modify the shutdown button, like a force command behind it ?

so is the application virtual pc thats still running when you shutdown your workstation?
If you close a VM and choose suspend then it shouldnt be running, the VM's memory is saved to hard disk. Sounds like you have the Virtual Machine application itself still running.

when I start my laptop by default the vm is off.
When I start the application the vm starts.
And when I close the application the vm is still on. And this is the problem when I shutdown my laptop. Then a message pops up and it takes longer for the shut down.
Is there another way ?

what virtual application are you using

the applications I use are old dictionaries from Oxford.
They work fine.
This link will not help me, because I already knew about this settings.
The problem is when I start and close the application, in the background the vm is still running.
Therefore the shutdown of the laptop is waiting for it.
Is it possible to change the shutdown of the laptop and force it or do it with a policy or script ?
