Hi!

I have a VB6 application. Last time I Compiled it I did it on a Windows 7 computer. When I run it on a XP computer I got an error message. The Application accesses a MS SQL database. When looking at the Internet I saw a solution by installing WindowsXP-KB983246-x86-ENU.exe.

I also saw that if compiling on a XP would solve the problem. I copied the code and compiled it, but I got the same error message.

We have a standardized platform at work so the best would be not to install the patch. Does anyone of you out there have any idea how to avoid the KB983246 update?

/Leif
