Load balancer in VMWARE infrastructure
I have a client who is trying to run a software load balancer inside a VM on ESX on UCS B series. It has two interfaces on two separate vswitches, two separate vlans, front-end and back-end. The front-end interface is set to operate in promiscuous mode.
The load balancers appear to function normally, except they continuously report the existence of a network loop. Traffic is sent out the front-end interface and appears on the back-end and vice versa.
The customer has gone as far as shutting down all redundant links in the network to eliminate the possibility for any loops.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?

No need solve this has been done differently
VMware vSwitches do not have possibility to create network loops. It would help if you can specify which load balancer you are trying to use and exact network config (including switch port configuration on physical switches).
