Adding an Intel based node to a existing AMD based Server 2003 cluster
HI all
I have a two node Server 2003 (32 bit) cluster running SQL 2000 SP4. The nodes are old Opteron based boxes. One keeps failing and I would like to build a new box on the Xeon platform and add it to the cluster. Will it work? If it does i would like to retire the remaining AMD box and then add an idetical Xeon box. Effectively migrating this cluster to Intel. (I hope)
