Are There Any Performance Tools Available To Monitor and Report AS400 Servers?

I am an Oracle EnterpriseOne ERP engineer. I'm not a AS400 expert or guru but I do manage the Oracle software that runs on the AS400 so i do know how to get around.

Right now i have been tasked with doing an audit not only on the Oracle software I support but also the AS400 to make sure both are meeting technical expectations that the Oracle software demands.

So my question is are there any programs or tools out there that I could run or use to give me like an "audit" type review of the AS400? a tool that could report the technical information like CPU, disk, memory, and all other technical info? And perhaps the ability to report any issues that might be going on?

I plan on formulating a detailed document that will cover all the software components but also the AS400.

Even if there are no tools available to download any other information you might be able to give me regarding this audit would be great. Even an existing "template" you might have that  could use to go back and gather the info and update the template doc. Something that would save me time as I put together this audit.

Thanks

IBM offers these kind of tools for the AS400 - check here for more information:\

ASKER

@Equitrac_Michael, I checked out that link but those tools are tools that you have to install and run directly on the iSeries and there are licensing requirements etc.

I'm looking for tools I can run from my windows machine that I can use to connect to the iSeries and gather information. Since I'm the consultant I'm sure they wouldn't accept having to install any tools on the AS400 itself.

So I'm trying to find something I can run locally on my machine to connect so I don't have to make it a big deal to install any tools on the 400.

Make sense?

Thanks Gary.

@Gary_The_IT_Pro:  Quick question for you before I close this out. Do you have any JDE(JD Edwards) EnterpriseOne expertise? Just curious.
Sure.  Over 20 years on the AS/400, more than half as a consultant working for service providers.  Couldn't avoid JDE if I wanted to!
