I have two sites. In both sites Serv-U running on VM. In one site it runs much slower even when doing a local transfer.<br />
In one site I was seeing 10Mb/s transfer on a localhost. &nbsp;In other site it was 1Kb/s, but after the upgrade Serv-U to 11 version is now 700Kb/s. &nbsp;Much faster but quite right.<br />
The issue sems to be transferring port 22 (SFTP using SSH) for a VM. &nbsp;CPU never got very high on VMs, ~30%.<br />
Any thoughts? &nbsp;Thanks.

Slow file transfer for a VM

VMware, a software company founded in 1998,  was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies.

VMware has many software products that run on desktops, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS, which allows the virtualizing of the x86 architecture.  Its enterprise software hypervisor for servers, VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi), is a bare-metal hypervisor that runs directly on the server hardware and does not require an additional underlying operating system.
