ACT! Email body as an attachment
My ACT! report is showing the attached emails completely. I have 4 users that include the body of the email as an attachment and then I have 2 that include the whole thing. Its making my reports very long. I have compared settings and cant figure out which setting it is.
I want all the emails to be attached as a summary showing just the basic information. The body of the email I only want to come up if I select it too. I hope that makes sense.

What version of ACT! ... the options to set how History is recorded is in a couple of places depending on the version

Then, you set these options in: Tools | Preferences | Email tab | Email system Setup

I've been through that and selected the same options as everyone else has. In the email steup wizard everyone has the same settings.
It won't change emails that have already been attached ... there's no way to do that. It will also change for new links

I understand that. The issue is that when the emails are being attached to act and you run that report the whole email comes through body and all. Other users only post a subject line and the first 2-3 lines of the body of the email. The rest is put in an attachment off to the side. So in order to read the email you have to double click the attachment instead of showing the entire email.

I have used a few different settings with not fix in site.
Microsoft Outlook as the email editor.
And then all the settings default all the way through. I have 5 people setup with the default settings that function properly. I just have to stragglers that are acting differently.

Well, the default settings will put the text of the email in the History, not attach the email

Yes, the are all on the same version.
Where would the particular setting be then? Maybe i'm just not comparing them properly.

I get 1 - 5 line summaries on most everyone except two people.
When they post the whole body of the email gets inserted. When everyone else posts its short.
