Microsoft Search for Exchange errors
I am having a problem with my Exchange Server. We are implementing a DAG but I'm getting messages that the service is not running. I check the server and it is. I've restarted the svc multiple times but still no luck

Which one is the witness server? Secondly did you disabled the firewall on all servers.

not disabled. smcex02 is the witness/cas/hub transport

try this, do the update copy and select the HB network manually, let it replicate and then you check again.

heartbeat network. You need two nics on each server, one for Mapi or production and second for replication also know as Heart beat or HB, pefer to be non routable

yep yep, that's what i have and that's exactly what i'm doing...replication doesn't go across mapi

that's what i'm saying, it's not going across the mapi nw....there are two on each..one for mapi and the other for the dag/replication

one thing i'm noticing is if i create a new db, it looks like it works. the copy status shows healthy and mounted. on existing dbases it fails. it shows the status as failed and suspended.
