ASP.NET 4.0 SBS 2011 RWW Eevent ID 1309 Code 3005

After installing SBS 2011 RWW worked fine then after many Microsoft updates it is now broken. It logs this event in the application log anytime I try to access it from the outside world. It works as it should from the internal network. Looks to me like a permission or authentication issue. IE says the page cannot be displayed but this event logs the public ip of the workstation trying to access the page so it's not a firewall issue. I can access OWA without a problem. Any ideas? Thanks Matt

Hi pitboy:

MS does not charge for errors caused by MS updates, so I would call them.  After finding the answer, you might post back here or create an article and add the knowlege gained to www.eventid.net.

This turned out to be a problem the install of IE 8.0 on my new workstation. Everything worked fine in Firefox. I did a reset of IE and all is well. Wasted a whole lot of time for something stupid.

Thanks, Matt
