OK, you have a few options now:

1.-Configure your router or firewall to allow internal traffic to be looped back to the internal interface when necessary (not all routers have this capability)

2.-Teach your DNS server not forward your local computer outside when you try to access ftp://ftp.mds.ws/ this can be done by create a zone on your internal DNS server for your external domain name and create records using internal IP addresses, so traffic will never be sent to the gateway. This type of configuration is often called "split-brain" DNS and is quite common.

Hello,

Have you tried connecting to the ftp server by the IP from the local network instead of name ftp://ftp.mds.ws/?

For Example: "ftp://192.168.1.1"
