i can't say anything about the SNOM, but here is the Microsoft Side of it:

Lync - You need one server licenser per Front End server. All other roles do not require a license. So a basic setup with one front end server, one edge server and one mediation server requires one server license.

But users need licenses as well.
All clients need Lync 2010 software license
and they need Lync CALs as well.
There are 3 different CALs, standard, enterprise and plus.
You need to have standard first to buy enterprise, and you need standard AND enterprise to buy plus.
Read more here: http://lync.microsoft.com/en-us/HowToBuy/Pages/pricing-licensing.aspx

But if you want enterprise vocie (PBX integration) you need Standard, ENterprise AND plus Cals ...

Tx. See this:

What additional licences are needed to work with Lync so that the phones function in a traditional PBX setup?

Commented:
I guess the phones would need a Lync standard, enterprise and plus CAL each
Jakob_dj, Actually you are wrong on this. The Plus call is the call for Enterprise voice (pbx functionality) and it can be optained appart from the enterprise CAL (which is for conferencing/application sharing). In the MS licensing guide, where you actualy refer to, you can find: "Note: The Lync Server 2010 Standard CAL is a prerequisite to both the Lync Server 2010 Enterprise CAL and Lync Server 2010 Plus CAL." This is a well known mistake by the way. In short, The std CAL is always required and can be extended with either the plus CAL, the Enterprise CAL or both, but enterprise is not a prerequisite for plus.

Lync 2010 is the client software used to interact with the Lync Server. Lync 2010 is available as both a stand-alone product and also included in Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010."

Commented:

Commented:
the proof is in the webpage.
Lync client software is included with Office Pro plus, like Outlook is included
Lync CALs are not included with Office Pro plus, like Exchange CALs are not included with Office

Commented:
No CALs are included with the Office suite.
CALs MUST be bought as additional licenses.
So if you have a Lync standard edition with 10 users, all needing all features including Voice you need:

1 x Lync server license
10 x Lync 2010 client software license (included with 2010 Office Pro Plus)
10 x Lync 2010 standard CAL
10 x Lync 2010 Enterprise CAL
10 x Lync 2010 Plus CAL
