Moving Windows from HDD to SSD drive

Hi,
I have a new SSD drive . I need to replace for my HDD hosting windows OS and number of programs. What is the easiest way to move windows partition on new drive without reinstalling.
I need a freeware tool.

PC Mover by Laplink is one of the few programs I have seen that willl do this.

Also, if your Windows XP install is OEM, you may have difficulties moving the installation as it might not activate.

OEM copies can replace the hard drive - just not the motherboard - that's changing the computer.

If you have an Intel SSD, they have their own migration tool:

You can also make an image of your hard drive with Norton ghost < illegal link removed by Page Editor>
Norton Ghost is NOT free. Please do not post like this. .... Thinkpads_User
