Moving Windows from HDD to SSD drive
Hi,
I have a new SSD drive . I need to replace for my HDD hosting windows OS and number of programs. What is the easiest way to move windows partition on new drive without reinstalling.
I need a freeware tool.

OEM copies can replace the hard drive - just not the motherboard - that's changing the computer.

If you have an Intel SSD, they have their own migration tool:

You can also make an image of your hard drive with Norton ghost < illegal link removed by Page Editor>

Also, if your Windows XP install is OEM, you may have difficulties moving the installation as it might not activate.
