Statically assigning specific drive

Hi,

Is it possible to 'permanently' assigned a designed drive LETTER into an external USB memory stick?

For instance, each time I connect my USB memory stick into Windows 7 client, it always received the same drive LETTER regardless the type of brand of USB memory stick?

Appreciate your help in advance.

I don't believe that there is any way to do this natively, but I have heard good feedback about the USB Drive Letter Manager tool regarding those same capabilities...

You can assign a drive letter using Disk Management. I'm not sure whether it will do that for a 2nd drive (different brand) you plugin after configuring the first one.

even though the question is for WinXP,  I think it should work for Win7 also:  I think this Previously Answered Question might have your answer (use the capability to mount drives):
