DNS settings not effecting the changes

HI,
i am trying to add my client pc to my domain, in that client system the ip settings are given manually, i changed the all settings to obtain settings automatically and it asked me to restart the pc, i did that but the dns changes didn't take effect. it happened repeatedly but the dns is not changing. what can be the reason? please help me.
Thanks in advance

To confirm: are you being asked to reboot after joining it to the domain (normal) or when you change the IP settings for the NIC (shouldn't be required).

Are you getting any errors when setting the DNS servers for the NIC?

Go to the command prompt and run this command:

netsh interface ip set address "Local Area Connection" dhcp

***This is assuming the network adapter you're trying to change the IP for is "local area connection". It could also be "local area connection 2" or "wireless network connection". Look in your control panel for the correct name

What happens after you run that command?
also this command:

netsh int ip set dns "local area connection" dhcp
