Hello,
please recommand a free and elegant solution for uploading (to the local server) a single image file with a progress bar.
a preview support will also be appreciated.
VB.Net code is preferable.
Thanks, Aryeh.

CodeCruiser,
the link (in the Sample App section)
http://mattberseth2.com/downloads/FileUploadV2_B1.zip
is not working.

So far, sonawanekiran: codeproject's solution looks the best for me.
I'll need to test and manage the code.
If you have other suggestion please let me know.
Hope to update you with my conclusion ASAP.
Aryeh.

Thanks,
Yes, I used http://www.developerfusion.com/tools/convert/vb-to-csharp/
but you need to adapt the code after such converssion (it was not straight forward).

It is realy a shame
the CodeProject solution I ussed not real:
it uses ..PostedFile.InputStream.Read(..
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.fileupload.postedfile.aspx
so the progressBar is just for copying the file ON THE SERVER SIDE
but not on the fly when transfering the file from the Client to the Server.

have you checked my link to neatupload?

I downloaded the bin zip probably look deeper inside soon... (a little tired checking the CodeProject solution...).
Do they have a screenshot or a demo showing how it looks?
The disadvantage of it is that it does not have full source code (including swf) or does it has?

I think "flash uploader" are better keywords to search for.
it looks simpler than NeatUpload
such as:

not "Using without PHP" section
