Hello,

I have a farm with Windows Sharepoint Service 3.0 constituted of two IIS servers and one DB server.

When I trying to move the "central admin" page to the second server (from the services page using the start key) it crashes, giving the following error:

The schema version (3.0.149.0) of the database SharePoint_AdminContent_ on server1\istance is not consistent with the expected database schema version (3.1.8.0) on server3. Connections to this database from this server have been blocked to avoid data loss. Upgrade the web front end or the content database to ensure that these versions match.

What can I do?

Thank you!

ensure that you have installed the same set of SharePoint updates/patches on both servers running IIS, then try again.

Also, have you run the Configuration Wizard on both servers (one at a time) since the last time you installed updates?
