Moving PC"s to a group

Is there a way I can automatically have my PC's on my domain moved into a group?  I'm merged into a large enterprise and my domain is basically an OU.  I don't have the luxury of "domain computers" group and I'm having to manually add PC to a group I created for allpc's.

if i understand your question correctly,
you can pre-create your computer name in the OU so when the PC joins, it will located there.

the other method is to join using netdom to the specific OU while you join to the domain

He's talking about Groups not OUs.   ....Unless he said "group" and meant "OU",...but then people need to say what they mean and call things by the right words.

You can add multiple objects to a group just like you would with any object,..the fact that it is a PC doesn't matter.

NO I mean group.  My domain is in a OU but I need a group.

You create the group just like you would create any group.

Then you add multiple machine accounts to the group the same way you would add multiple people to a group,..there is no difference.

Yes I know that I'm just wanting to see if I can automate it because my domain consists of many different place (Facilities) merged together.  I can't use domain computers anymore.

Sorry domain computes group anymore so I had to create my own.  It used to automatically populate Domain Computers as it should but now I want to see if I can automate it so all my PC go into a differnet group I created.

I don't know of any way to automate that.  For me there is no point in it,...I add a machine to the domain about 2 times a year maybe.  If I'm replacing a bunch of machines I just go into the properties of the Group,..select the Members Tad,...choose to "add",... "shift-select" or "control-select" them and click "OK".

Normally you're correct however, we've added 125 machines just this week, but I'll just keep adding them thax.

Ok.

Well for me even if it was a 1000 machines with would take the same amount of time,..which is next to nothing.  I could still do it in one click of the "ok" button.
