Sync two standalone pcs with ethernet or wirelessly

Experts,
I'm looking for a solution where I would like to move files between two pcs. Both pcs have ethernet connections and both are wireless. Suggestions please

You don't say anything about what OS you're running on these two machines, but if it's Windows, look at Robocopy.

If you would like to have those 2 PCs synced with the same files, you can use SYNCTOY.

actually, all I am looking to do would be to copy files between pcs when I want to. some files on one pc do not exist on another and I was hoping to possibly use a patch cable or something wirelessly. sync was a poor chose of work and I apologize

The ROBOCOPY tool mentioned above is a good tool, but I suggest a more modern tool called RichCopy.
