Intellisense in SSMS is not working

The Intellisense in my SSMS is not working.  I've checked the settings in SSMS and am sure Intellisense has been enabled.  Any other possible reasons to cause Intellisense to be not working?  Thanks.

SSMS 2008 does not support intellisense if the database is 2005 or prior.

I have installed the service pack, but my intellisense is still not working.  Any idea?

I'm connecting to a SQL Server 2008.

Can you once again verify that it is enabled? you can check in the option menu.

Just checked again and disabled and enabled again, it is still not working...
