Service won't start

We have a created a service for one of our programs.
The service starts from the command line if we pass the config file:
c:\servicename.exe -c name.ini file
However when we create the service and point to the executable it gives an error saying:
Error 1:Incorrect function
I have tried to use the "Start parameters:" filed to specify the ini file but no help
Any ideas??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It depends on the executable file you are specifiying to create a service... the parameter which you are specifiying may be not available or not associated with executable... You can check the switches or parameter associated with executable.. to list type in command prompt executable name and /?...
