I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

the easiest way is to create a link to the table you want to get additional records.

file > external data > link

after you created the link, you can simply create an append query to get the new records

assuming you have db A and db B, and the information you want to get is on db B
run this append query from B

insert into tablex in 'c:\folderName\A.mdb'
select tableB.*
from tableB

To expand a bit on what cap said:

You can Link tables from different datasources in the same database, so Cap is effectively saying that you should link BOTH of those tables in the same database. So if I have Table1 in DB_A, and Table2 in DB_B, then I can create DB_C with links to DB_A.Table1 and DB_B.Table2. From there, I can work with both of those tables in DB_C, and query them as needed.

Of course, you can also link DB_A.Table1 into DB_B, or DB_B.Table2 into DB_A if you don't want to create a 3rd database.
