Prevent IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL blue screen

Does anyone know how I can prevent a IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL blue screen on Microsoft Server 2008?  This server runs a VM in Hyper-V and seemed to crash when our DPM server did its regular backup.  Any thoughts on this?

I would suggest looking at the memory dump to find the culprit using the debugging tools for windows. One quick solution would be to use a free tool called "Bluescreenview"

Once you have that info, post the results...
Here's the info I got from BlueScreenView:

Along with the above suggestions, I have had issues with usb devices.  Multifunction printers and external drives.

Often times moving the device from one usb channel to another helps.

something easy to isolate any way.
