Shared Calendar or similar within Exchange

Hi experts... an easy question here.

I would like to have a facility (within Outlook) whereby all the users in my office have a shared calendar that they can update with details of social events happening in the country in which we live (we're all expats abroad)
What's the best way of doing this, I've thought of (and indeed already have) a shared room mailbox with calendar items, but is there a better way?

The room mailbox will do the trick...Is it working currently?

Yep, it's working fine, though I wonder if it's possible to set it to automatically e-mail all users when a new event is added?
