This was probably caused by the following module: scsiport.sys (SCSIPORT+0x34EE)

Watch Question

How often does it happen?
Have you recently installed new hardware or loaded new software? Could be a driver issue.

Otherwise, try pulling out RAM, DVD ROM, etc, and see if the issue still happens.

What version of Windows?  did you recently update?  your SCSI drivers need tweaking...there is a hot fix for this depending on your OS

I used a program called WhoCrashed to generate the report in my first post.  Not sure how to find that file.  When I go into the Windows folder and scroll thru the list of folders, Minidump is not there or not appearing.  ALso tried running Search and not turning up in search

It should be hidden folder then. See the article below to see hidden folders and files

Thanks, here it is.  Is there anything in the minidump file that would cause my system to be vulnerable to attack, meaning, this post is searchable in internet, so I want to be sure I am not leaving myself open to stupidity. Mini120611-01.dmp Mini120611-01.dmp

it looks like your scsi driver is  the problem, so update the driver for the scsi controller card
it can also be a ram problem, so run memtest86+ from  www.memtest.org  for a couple of passes

It only did it that one day. I haven't done anything to it. I assume it is Avast that caused the problem?  Awarding to all seemed the fair thing to do. THanks guys
