I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Any VNC client for Windows should do.
Personally I use TightVNC from http://www.tightvnc.com/

Acronis True Image 2019 just released!

Create a reliable backup. Make sure you always have dependable copies of your data so you can restore your entire system or individual files.

The first port number is 5901 so 192.168.0.88:5901 should do.

On your linux box run the following commands,

vncserver
<enter password>
vi ~/.vnc/xstartup
Uncomment the lines which disables GUI
Restart VNC by
vncserver -kill :1 (assuming the started session was 1)
vncserver

Go to your windows 7 desktop
Double click on vnc icon and enter the IP and session ID as
192.168.0.88:1
Enter password

An issues that might crop up would be your firewall might block access to the VNC port. So you would need to write a rule to the IP tables firewall to allow access or shutdown iptables altogether.
