Windows 7 Task Bar Displays
I have a user that when they have several Outlook items open they are tiled on the task bar. When he hovers his cursor over the outlook items they do not pop up as mini windows like on my machine. He has to click on the tiled items and he gets the name of the item and a red X to close them. What setting controls whether you get the mini windows or the description of the open items? Thanks.

The PC he is using is a brand new Dell Optiplex 990. I would think that it has the latest and greatest. What really puzzles me is that he stated it was working (areo) and he rebooted the computer then it did not work. Any ideas?
Hardware definitely shouldn't be a problem with the Opti 990 (other than maybe a graphics driver issue...).
What else did your user do to the computer and isn't telling you?
I was just reading that on some resolutions Aero might be not available. Try switching res to something boring like 1024x768 for a minute and see if it is available. If so, see wheat happens when you try to switch back to the res you want.

Make sure he has not got Windows 7 starter as Aero is not included!
