Symbols created in Autocad Inventor incorrectly displayed in DWG Trueview 2009

3D models are created in Inventor from which Autocad drawings are produced. These drawings are then distributed and viewed in DWG TrueView. Symbols are correct in Autocad but not DWG TrueView, for example the diameter symbol D  is displayed as an N.

Could this be a font issue? Is the symbol created using a font that is not available to the viewer?
how are the models brought into DWG Trueview? are DWFs created from Inventor?

DWFs are created in Inventor then viewed as dwg in DWG Trueview
If you view the DWGs within Trueview, do the symbols display correctly?

No a diameter symbol is displayed as a N.
check the text style that is being used for the text object that contains the diameter symbol, then keyin the command STYLE and select the text style on the left and see what Font is being used for it, example shown below

 AutoCAD Text Style window

This solution pointed me in the right direction. The font AIGDT was not installed so I copied the file aigdt.TTF into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts.
