How to query NTFS

boltman56 asked
Is there a way to query the Windows file system (NTFS) using SQL-like syntax?
(e.g. SELECT * FROM DirectoryFiles WHERE FileSize = 10000)

We have a very complex directory structure and we need to find all occurrences of a certain file. We can use the file size and modified date to identify it

Not that I'm aware of.

For something like that I would use ZTree http://www.ztree.com/

Free to try for 30 days.  You can select all of the files and then sort them in date order or size order.  Then depending on how you've sorted them you can go to the size or date of the file concerned.
