I have a single user that cannot send emails to anyone, internal or external. We are on exchange 2007 and he is using outlook 2007. His profile setup in outlook without any issues. He can receive email all day long from both internal and external senders. When he sends email it appears to be going but never actually gets sent. He does not get any NDR notices at all. I have deleted his mailbox, AD account and local profile and then recreated his entire user account and mailbox. I have tried sending email from OWA to determine if it was related directly with is outlook client and it will not send from OWA as well. Others users on this same server work just fine.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have already tried to mail flow troubleshooter on the server. It passes all test fine. The mail queues are all empty. I have looked in the logs and they do not contain anything about him even sending the message so it is like it never really reaches the server.

Did you check the email accounts associated with the exchange account? if there are any extras on it?  It sounds weird, but I've read of a similar problem where the NDR notices were showing up in another users inbox who was just deleting them.  Some how the 2 user accounts got corrupted and both accounts had to be removed and readded.  I don't know how large your comapany is but ifyou have a user complaining about getting NDR's I would look into it.

SOLVED...  it appears to have been a corrupt mailbox database.  Moved mailbox to a different mailstore and database and all is working.

Nice!  So no other users in the DB were  having that issue?

Didn't put two and two together that he was the only user moved into that database so far and he was the only user having the problem.

This happened due to the corruption in that particular mailbox which got solved when you moved it from one store to another, However you may check the databases logical corruption in exchange 2007 through isinteg command
