Need VGA driver for Acer aspire 1640z for windows 7 32 bit

it looks like your video chipset (you should verify) is the mobile intel r 915gm gms 910gml  family this link could be usefull for initial documentation http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-030907.htm

doing a quick search about your chipset i found that maybe some vista drivers works at windows 7, like this one ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34749.exe

Please be advice, i havent tested this driver (dont have were to test it) looks virus free, as always install it as your own risk, and if it works out let us know.

No Windows 7 driver is available nor does it look as if a Vista driver is available from Intel?

Hi,

Does your laptop have the Intel or ATI video adapter - the box and/or labels on the laptop may help.

Try downloading the Vista drivers from here:

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_1640z.html

And then install these under Windows 7 - they might work.
