Lync 2010 Topology Builder/Web conferencing issue

I am running Lync 2010 Standard on Windows 2008 64bit R2. I am running all roles on a single server due to the small size of our organization. We are currently not configuring any voip services as of yet, just the IM/webconferencing.

I have rebuilt this Lync server multiple issues trying to resolve my issue. The issue seems to be that I can only use my servers FQDN for the front end pool name which then creates the SQL Express database that matches that FQDN. Everything seems to be okay with that install except when I setup a meeting such as https://meet.company.com/username/XXXXXX and on outside users trys to connect. The webpage gets redirected to the Web IM client which points to my internal servers FQDN which is not available to the outside.

I have front end and edge server configured with the proper SAN Certificates installed.

Question is do I need to do something different during my topology builder install to make sure clients from the outside are not redirected to internal URLS or can I make a change somewhere after the install?

have you setup your reverse proxy to setup so 443 to direct to 4443 of the server for external user purpose?
