User roaming profile does not load all icons on windows 7 box

Have a user, that works have the time. Sometimes his profile loads correctly on his box sometimes it does not. Only certain icons appear.

background server and AD is Server 2003 Enterprise

Desktop is Windows Professional 7

And also the user profile loads correctly everytime on xp boxes

Where are the desktop icons stored, his profile? Public?

Does the Start Menu/Taskbar loads when these icons do not?

yes the start menu icons do load. The icons are stored on his profile folder on the server. they are private to that user.
Do LOCAL icons from the profile appear, or is this folder redirected?

the desktop folder is redirected, its strange only some icons appear. And one icon comes back even if it deleted multiple times.
Sounds like Offline Files corruption.... If all files are in synch, try this.....

How to disable old, disconnected offline folders in Win7?

Disregard the title, the procedure will reset it all. After a reboot, check it out.....

Profile was corrupt and a personal pc running windows 7 pro, had corrupted drivers among other issues. ended being a computer issue not software
