logmein VPN solution

I have downloaded logmein HAMCHI which I will use as a VPN solution in one of our offices.  The server that is the gateway is a Windows 2008 server that is virtualized.  When I talked to the logmein techs they said I would need to setup up the server to be promiscuous.  I'm assuming that means something different than it appears to.    Can you give me some info on how to do this?

Unfortunately, Microsoft's Hyper-V is lacking here and doesn't support the promiscuous mode setting. VMWare does support this however, and if you are able to, you can convert the Hyper-V file to a VMWare file using this tool:

Since you're installing on a VM, you have to turn on the "Promiscuous Mode" on your virtual network  switch.

What are you using to manage the virtual machines? Hyper-V, VMWare, or something else?

Sorry to not give enough details.  I am more of a tech support person, not network admin but I need to get some answers to this fro Friday.  I know that the machine itself is called Hyper-V.  I am assuming that is what is being used to manage the virtual machines.  Where can I go to make sure that is what it is?  There is an icon on the desktop that says "Hyper-V manager"
