MySql concat

Hi,

I have a sql query which is using concat to select records using LIKE. If one of the fields in the CONCAT has null value then it does not appear in the results. Is there a way around this?
SELECT
Customer.Cid,
Customer.DateCreated,
Customer.FirstName,
Customer.Surname,
Customer.Add1,
Customer.Town,
Customer.pCode
FROM Customer
WHERE Deleted = 0
AND Concat(firstname,Surname,Town,pCode,telHome,telWork,telMobile,adminEmail) LIKE '%smith%'

yes, you can coalesce that field to '' first.
AND Concat(coalesce(firstname,''), ':', coalesce(Surname, ''), ':', coalesce(Town,''), ':', coalesce(pCode, ''), ':', coalesce(telHome,''),':',coalesce(telWork,''),':',coalesce(telMobile, '') , ':',coalesce(adminEmail,'')) LIKE '%smith%'

note: I would but separators between the values, to avoid false matches.
note2: you should check into full-text searching :)
