blackberry occasionally shows incorrect times for meetings set by other regions

Hi Experts,

My blackberry occasionally shows incorrect times for meetings set by other regions.
E.g. today I have a meeting at 6pm (UTC + 9) , but it shows up in my blackberry as 10am. the meeting request sender timezone is UTC and the request was sent via outlook.

any idea?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is your blackberry connected to any blackberry enterprise Server, If Yes ask your IT person to check the DST settings and apply patches for it.

If your blackberry is connected through BIS, then contact the service provider and they will guide you with the required settings.

On the Home screen or in the Applications folder, click the Clock icon.

Click the Time field.
On the trackpad, slide your finger to select a time.
Click the Time field again.
Click the Date field.
On the trackpad, slide your finger to select a date.
Click the Date field again.
Perform one of the following actions:

To receive a prompt when your device detects a new time zone, change the Auto Update Time Zone field to Prompt.
To have your device update the time zone automatically when it detects a new time zone, change the Auto Update Time Zone field to On.

Press the Menu key.
Click Save.

You need to update the time zone automatically.

But when you connect to your device to your laptop, it will goes to your home time.

In Desktop Manager/Synchronize, you have the option to "Update Device's Date and Time" when you sync. If this box is checked, every time you connect to Desktop Manager, either to sync your Blackberry or to back-up, Desktop Manager will set your Blackberry to your computer time. If you left your laptop set to your home time zone, then synching will cause your Blackberry to change back to your home time zone. If you select "Network Time" as your Blackberry time source, you don't need this setting. Unchecking it will keep Desktop Manager from changing your Blackberry time.
