As in not listed in the Services?

It would be "Windows Search" in Windows 7.....

Description....

"Provides content indexing, property caching, and search results for files, e-mail, and other content."
its maybe not installed , go to control panel -> program and features -> click on turn features on or off -> select index service then click ok
