I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just like this:
<a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com" target="_blank"> <img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/images/logo.jpg" alt="Your company name" title="Your company name" /> </a>

So in Joomla it has a little editor in there. Do I simply put this anywhere in the line.

I thought you had to some how set the range of the logo itself so that when users hovered over it the logo would become like an active button....?

its better to use the following in the index.php of your  template

<a href="<?php echo $this->baseurl ?>" title="....">
                <div id="logo">
                </div>
                </a>

Most important thing which template are you using..Some template has got parameter logo in template options...For some templates..Use Module Manager ..Create Custom Module..Click Html source ..

Add following code..

<p><img src="images/logo.png" border="0" alt="logo" width="300" height="90" style="border: 0;" /></p>

and publish it at logo position of template..

Do you guys recommend any free or low cost HTML editors that can help a novice like me get into and learn the language of HTML and use it fairly seamlessly with Joomla.

I understand you really have to be careful as tools can sometimes add formatting that can cause problems with content like I have.

Any thoughts and again thank you very much for your help.
